We are seeking a motivated Interim Manager of Utilization Review for a 13-week engagement near the Sitka, Alaska area. The Interim Utilization Review Manager will oversee the day-to-day requirements of Utilization Management & Review, authorizing acute and sub-acute admissions at the acute care hospital. This position works intensively with advanced systems to track and trend denials, build models for documentation improvement plans, and coordinate with all areas and levels of the hospital. This position works closely with the provider community to improve clinical documentation, and with administration to ensure appropriate utilization of hospital resources.


QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree or other approved education plan is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and/or Master's Degree is preferred
- Active RN license in Alaska
- Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care hospital with two (2) years experience in utilization review
- Active Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification

- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

- Active Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
