Certified Nursing Assistant, All shifts (FT/PT)

Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for overseeing nursing and resident care and the many responsibilities that come with it. You will also assist with the coordination of clinical services, ensure resident outcomes are achieved, and monitor for effective internal resource utilization to assure that the financial and resident goals of the organization are achieved.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning
and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Computer proficiency with software programs and the ability to learn new computer
technology and programs.
Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to assist in the treatment of
resident injuries, diseases, and deformities.

Assisted Living and Memory Care

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key function satisfactorily.

1. Assist resident with all personal care skills (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) and services in accordance with Individual Resident Service Plan, using safe, courteous, and effective standards of practice.

2. Makes appropriate observations about resident’s condition in event interaction with resident and records changes in resident’s condition in a timely manner or reports changes to the H &W Director, Nurse, or designated charge person immediately.

3. Assists in recording temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.

4. Aid in the delivery of specific participation in programs, such as fall prevention, safety, rehab and wellness, exercise, and others as identified, which will provide entertainment, and socialization to all residents.

5. Comply with all company policies and procedures in regard to resident rights; abuse prevention and reporting; and resident confidentiality (HIPPA).

6. Promptly respond to resident call lights.

7. Demonstrate a courteous, polite, and friendly attitude with families, visitors, and co-workers.

8. Demonstrates ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to fulfill job requirements.

9. Demonstrates the ability to make independent decisions, and solve practical problems that may or may not include a variety of concrete variables. This may require the ability to interpret instructions given in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.

10. Demonstrates the ability to listen actively and evaluate social situations in an objective, consistent and fair manner. Functions independently with integrity, flexibility and works well with residents, personnel and support agencies.

11. Complies with community policies and procedures for workplace safety including infection control procedures, emergency response, and safety protocol.

12. Complies with all company policies and procedures related to resident rights; abuse prevention and reporting; and resident confidentiality (HIPPA).

13. Performs other related duties as may be assigned.
