In pursuing excellence, Valley Health – Winchester Medical Center, is seeking a highly motivated RN leader for a key role as a Program Manager within Surgical Services to expand and grow our Enhanced Recovery after Surgery (ERAS) program and Strong for Surgery program. The optimal RN candidate should possess 5-7 years of experience in perioperative settings working with surgeons, clinical teams, education, care continuums and various key leaders. This advanced opportunity and exciting role will work with the full scope of perioperative departments and with surgeon office settings to optimize surgical care.

The ERAS Clinical Coordinator is responsible to oversee with minimal supervision the ERAS program for the Division of Surgery. Responsibilities include care coordination for ERAS patients through all stages of the perioperative continuum ensuring that the ERAS pathway is followed by all disciplines. Duties may include ongoing ERAS education to the patient and patient's family, the care team and community resources; identifying and resolving clinical issues which affect patient care, clinical efficiency, effectiveness and making program improvements related to outcomes through collaboration, project management, and performance improvement activities. Reports jointly to the Director of Surgical Services and the Chief of Surgery.

Qualifications
Ability to facilitate and lead a team approach to population-based care as needed required - Excellent written and verbal communication skills required - Strong interpersonal, delegation and problem solving skills required - Strong analytical and data management skills required - Project management experience required - Detail oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills required - Ability to work independently under general guidance required - Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) required - Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel required

Education
Bachelors Nursing (BSN) required
Masters Nursing (MSN) preferred

Experience
Five years professional nursing experience with progressive clinical experience including care of surgical patients and care management required

Current VA RN license required
