The Clinical Review Team Nurse III is a contract position within the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Office of Aging and Disability Services (OADS). This Nurse position works with a team of dedicated professionals to support programs for adults with intellectual disabilities and autism.
Through the prior authorization process for home and community-based waiver services, review residential support requests for individuals with increased medical needs as well as requests for specialized medical equipment and assistive technology devices.
Demonstrate excellent written documentation and record keeping skills.
Issue initial and renewal level of care determinations for individuals residing in Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID).
Act as Respiratory Program Administrator to ensure that all OADS employees required to wear respiratory protection are protected from respiratory hazards through the proper use of respirators.
Participate as a witness in Medicaid hearings, as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in a health or emergency medical services program or an equivalent combination of career experience and education (Associate’s degree) – Required

High-speed internet– Required
Willingness to travel to Augusta on a weekly basis to pick-up work at the office– Required
BLS – Required
Current licensure by the Maine State Board of Nursing – Required
