Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse is responsible for the observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care for ill, injured, or recovering patients. You will administer medications and treatments as prescribed and authorized by a licensed practitioner. This role involves critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
Salary Range:
$29.00 per hour (2 years of experience)
$32.70 per hour (5 years of experience)
$36.81 per hour (10 years of experience)
$42.13 per hour (17+ years of experience)
Shift Differentials: $4.50 for nights and $1.50 for weekends
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis
Shift: Nights ONLY (Rotating Weekends)

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive data collection pertinent to the patient’s health or situation
- Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team
- Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis or issues
- Identify expected outcomes and develop a plan individualized to the patient
- Act as an advocate for patient safety
- Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment
- Educate patients and their families about medications, procedures, and treatments
Unit Beds/Rooms: 50-bed Med/Surg unit including Oncology, Ortho, Trauma, and Psychiatric patients
Patient Ratio: 1 RN : 5-6 patients; 1 PCT : 10-13 patients

- 3+ years of recent acute care Med-Surg experience
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or able to obtain licensure prior to start
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
