Williamsburg Landing, the areas only 5-star CARF-accredited life plan community, seeks a Health Care Administrator to ensure the delivery of high quality care for skilled and long-term nursing residents. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded independent, non-profit organization currently licensed for 58 beds and expanding to 73 in 2018.
The Health Care Administrator, reporting to the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, directs the delivery of integrated health care services aligned with organizational strategic objectives and develops and monitors a Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement Plan (QAPI) that defines systems, processes, and methods to evaluate and improve resident care. Maintaining high employee engagement and retention through effective communication, prompt problem resolution, and proactive supervisory practices is a key responsibility, in addition to managing turnover and ensuring adequate staffing through appropriate selection, onboarding, and employee development. This position is responsible for maintaining optimal occupancy rates while ensuring the functionality, cleanliness and orderliness of the facility and promoting that utilization of technology in the clinical setting. The Administrator promotes positive relationships with residents, visitors, and regulators and exhibits an understanding of and compliance with resident rights and responsibilities.

Job Requirements

This position requires a current Commonwealth of Virginia Nursing Home Administrator license, a Bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of five (5) years of healthcare leadership; experience in skilled nursing and/or long-term care and a Master’s degree preferred. Demonstrated competency in financial management and resource allocated is required in addition to knowledge of licensing and payment programs, nursing practice, psychology of resident care, personal care and social services, therapeutic and supportive long term care and services, and environmental health and safety relevant to nursing facility operations.
