RN - PCU *Stepdown* (Intermediate Care) - 12 Hour Day Shifts, 36/48 Scheduled, 36/36 Guaranteed, Weekend Rotation Required, 20-26 Week Contract. Start Date: ASAP. End Date: 1-6-19. *Length can be anything up to 26 Weeks, but must go through 1-6-19 at least. Total weeks can be fewer, as long as this end date is met.*(FS) Minimum 2 Years Tele or Stepdown Experience. Willing to work 48 EOW. Cardiac Drip Experience - Required. . General job duties. Types of procedures required. Also manage cardiac drips amiodarone, cardizem, heparin, insulin, Bumex, dopamine, and dobutamine. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) Medication: HCS EMAR; Paper Charting. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Arrhythmia interpretation, pre/post op care of cardiac cath pts. BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Certification Required. Weekend rotation required. 48 hours EOW. Must be willing to Float, but only to units with the same patient acuity. Bed size/number of rooms for this Unit/Department. 30 Beds in this Unit. Dress Code:Grey uniform bottoms and any color tops. General orientation to the facility with unit specific orientation provided on the floor. Travel Experience Preferred. Functions at the Standard Level of nursing practice. Responsible for independently applying the nursing process through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of pediatric patient care. Selects and administers the appropriate care taking into consideration the age and developmental level and size of the patient. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Should be able to identify own limitations and seek resources as needed. Responsibilities: Standards of Care; Clinical Skills and Judgment; Caring Practices; Facilitator of Learning/Clinical Inquiry; Advocacy/Moral Agency/Response to Diversity; Collaboration and Communication; Systems Thinking. All M&I and Housing Stipends provided are already factored into gross weekly total. We provide an additional Travel Stipend, either in the form of a round-trip flight or mileage reimbursement ($0.50 a mile, capped at $1,000 Per 13-Week Contract / or capped at $615 Per 8-Week Contract). We do not provide rental cars on this assignment.

Job Requirements


• KY or Compact State RN License.
• ACLS Certification (Must Be AHA).
• BLS Certification (Must Be AHA).
• NIHSS Certification.
• Cardiac Drip Experience.
• HCS EMAR: Paper Charting.
• Minimum 2 Years Tele or Stepdown Experience.
• Must be willing to work 48 EOW.
• Must be willing to Float, but only to Units with same patient acutity.
• Travel Experience.
• Our company's Joint Commission standards require 1-year experience in this field within the past 3 years to qualify. This experience must be documented on your resume!
