SEEKING F/T or P/T NURSE FOR BUSY ASTHMA AND ALLERGY PRACITCE
Asthma & Allergy Physicians is a large single specialty asthma, allergy and immunology practice with three primary locations in Massachusetts, Brockton, Raynham and Milford. We are seeking a full time nurse or part-time nurse, primarily for our Raynham, MA location. We are looking for an LPN or RN and we provide an extensive training orientation, so new graduates are encouraged to apply.
The candidate should demonstrate initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring of patients with complex needs. The nurse should demonstrate the ability to effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care, along with the other healthcare providers. The candidate will report directly to the Nursing Manager.
Among the responsibilities, the nurse will be responsible for administration of allergen immunotherapy/ desensitization, allergy testing, oral challenge techniques, mixing and dilution of allergen extracts, patient education of allergen environmental control measures and the use of metered dose inhalers, breath activated inhalers, spacers, etc., performing pre and post bronchodilator spirometry and telephone call triage.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: CLINICAL PRACTICE
Among the responsibilities:
1. Accountable for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluation a plan of care for a specific patient assignment along with the supervising Provider.
2. Documentation is clear, complete, concise and in compliance with nursing documentation standards.
3. Evaluates the effectiveness of the plan of care, and documents progress in meeting stated goals. Revises plan of care as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
4. Provides a safe environment for patients, staff, family and visitors.
5. Performs nursing procedures safely and efficiently.
6. Triages patient telephone calls and accurately relays information to the appropriate physician.
7. Treats all patients with dignity, compassion and respect and is supportive of fellow employees and uses initiative in helping others.
The ideal candidate must be an effective TEAM PLAYER who is reliable and dependable.
