Description

RN - Critical Care Unit / full time permanent position

The Department of Nursing at Lakes Regional Healthcare supports all nursing professionals in practicing at a competent level of care while demonstrating a professional level of behavior in the skilled practice of nursing.

The Iowa Board of Nursing (IBON) scope and standards of practice are exemplified within the position. The Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to identify patient needs and systemically plan and implement a plan of care, followed by continually evaluating the outcomes of that care. The Critical Care RN shall triage and initiate accurate and ongoing assessments of physical and psychosocial problems of patients of all ages within the critical care system as evidenced by written documentation. Nurse will demonstrate independent performance that is consistent with the mission and goals of the Critical Care Unit and the hospital. RN must be flexible to changing systems and is expected to demonstrate effectiveness and quality in work habits and clinical practice.

Fulltime position is eligible for a sign-on bonus and offers a Student Debt Repayment Program. Wage is based upon education and experience with additional potential for a variety of differentials. Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or above
• 6 months RN experience required to work in the Critical Care Unit
• 1 year cardiac monitoring preferred

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-State Licensure required.
• Current certification, or earliest available achievement of certification in: BLS, ACLS and PALS
• Current certification, or earliest available achievement of certification in Mandatory Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Reporter Training
• 1 year with cardiac monitoring is preferred
